Our Operations

The Department of Surgery is responsible for surgical care in collaboration with the Academic Hospital. We provide planned surgical care and diagnostics in general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology. In our six operating rooms, approximately 4,500 surgeries are performed annually. The hospital also has an emergency department open around the clock, with about 20,000 visits per year, where surgeons have a standby duty.

We have a regional action profile in urology, which means that we primarily perform procedures transurethrally, endoluminally, and scrotally. In addition, we also perform outpatient procedures at the clinic. We have recently introduced fusion biopsies and perineal biopsies, which improve our diagnostic precision. We also have extensive plans to establish our own urodynamic unit and a urotherapist. Our operations also include a nurse-led PSA dispensary for structured follow-up of patients with prostate cancer.

Your Mission

We are now looking for a committed and driven specialist or senior physician in urology who wants to be part of our competent team. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where quality, patient focus, and development are at the center. Your role will encompass both outpatient activities and surgical procedures, with the possibility to tailor your work to include more outpatient work if there is interest. Your Qualifications

• Licensed physician with specialist competence in urology.
• Experience in hospital-based urological practice is an advantage.
• Good collaborative skills and willingness to work in a team.
• Interest in developing care processes and education.
• Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
